GM Recalls 2009 Chevrolet Impala for Airbag Problem (Edmunds.com)
WASHINGTON — GM is recalling 79 of its 2009 Chevrolet Impalas because a piece of the front passenger-side airbag could break and strike and injure vehicle occupants, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

I have owned a 2006 Ltz for almost 2 years now. I took it in to the dealer just before it turned 36,000 miles. The car checked out according to the dealer just fine. I ended up with a bill of almost 380 dollars for fluid change and miscellaneous things not covered under warranty.
